challenges & setbacks

  • With the big increase of unit remodelings to manage, we piloted our first internal General Contractors to expand our crew internally.
  • Optimizing cost efficiencies, turning around and stabilizing the units took us some time, but Yocum is now seeing a much higher net operating income.
  • Our first apartment building also came with a new set of underwriting challenges. It was a good learning process, and we’re now on our way to more apartment buildings!
